Kansas Global partners with IBG Global
Kansas Global has entered into an exciting, new partnership with IBG Global. Much like Kansas Global, they seek to facilitate growth, profitability and stability for their clients. That’s why we thought combining our efforts would create more accessibility and return on investment for both of our trusted clients. Founded in 2000, IBG Global has handled over 50,000 projects and brought in over $6 billion in foreign direct investment for the US since its inception.
Anytime two companies come together, there’s bound to be questions. So, we put ourselves in the shoes of our clients and thought “What questions would I have after hearing about this partnership?” Once we drafted some questions, we had an interview with IBG Global.
Q&A with IBG Global
How would you describe IBG Global?
IBG Global is a network of business development professionals headquartered in over 20 world capitals with hundreds of years of combined relevant experience who, together, have concluded some thousands of cross-border business connections. The members of IBG have been working together for more than 15 years, some longer, which gives every client a level of comfort regarding capabilities, professionalism and the ability to get the job done to their satisfaction.
How will this partnership make conducting business easier?
This partnership cuts the red tape, the delays, and the frustrations of contacting overseas companies in different time zones, speaking different languages and with different customs. Combining Kansas Global’s and IBG Global’s networks of trusted market specialists will give access to over 150 markets, which means we can reduce the time and cost for Kansas companies seeking a global presence.
How important are exports? Why do businesses need a global network?
Fewer that 5% of US manufacturers export their product, yet the world has a high level of respect for US made goods and is eager to import them. The ability to diversify your sales provides an insurance policy: if there is a downturn in one market, there are others to make up for the difference and stabilize revenue.
Businesses need a global network for the same reasons they need a domestic one: it’s the most effective way to conduct business. Business, international or domestic, is built on relationships, personal contact, trust and knowhow. Building global networks isn’t as easy as going to your local seminar or conference, however. We built our global network gradually and over the course of decades. Ultimately, this is what has built IBG Global into the operation it is today.
What projects can this partnership help businesses with?
IBG Global has a rich history of projects with far-reaching ranges:
- Using social media to promote products like American hardwood in Brazil
- Arranging meetings across the world, with considerations for interpreters, travel planning, and in-market support
- Facilitating and securing contracts, like helping a US producer of streaming products sign a deal with Amazon Web Services
- Researching compliance and regulatory requirements like flooring in India
- Conducting viability studies, giving strategic insights into markets around the globe
And these are some of the things which have been done in just the last six months. IBG Global recruits accomplished and talented partners, which allows us to provide value to our clients and increase sales.
How does this partnership make IBG Global and Kansas Global stronger?
Using the IBG network gives Kansas Global worldwide depth and access to export development and trade professionals around the world. Any Kansas company interested in establishing or increasing their global footprint will be able to find connections in virtually every corner of the world. That makes Kansas Global the “go-to” organization in the state for international market development access.
Using the IBG Network allows our members to gain even more international integrative experience, provides us with significant case studies and success stories while generating income for our members as well.
In other words, it is a win-win.
